Sabine McCalla

Sabine joined the Board of Directors in 2022. She first got involved with GTHS when her husband took German classes. She has been volunteering at events ever since.
Sabine is excited about the program that GTHS offers and loves that GTHS preserves German culture in Texas, the German language and its history - and that it takes the German culture to Americans who are interested in it.
Sabine grew up in East Germany. Playing sports competitively in her youth, she lived in many different places throughout Germany. College took her to Bonn and Washington State, and she later settled in Bremen.
To be with her Texan husband, Sabine moved to Texas in 2012. She is a real estate professional and enjoys helping her clients relocate and often settle in Central Texas. Sabine, her husband and their three sons call Round Rock home. They enjoy the close proximity to Austin as well as the countryside.
