Ed Tovar

Edward Kober Tovar, was born in Heidelberg, Germany. His mother is from Ettlingen by Karlsruhe, Germany where she met and married his father who was in the US Army stationed in Ettlingen and settled in San Antonio.  Ed graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Degree in Geology and was employed in the Oil & Gas/Energy industry working primarily offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. He then joined the Marine Corps and became a Commissioned Officer with 25 years of experience and three combat tours.  While in the Marine Corps, LtCol Tovar was assigned as a DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) Program Manager to work in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic and Autonomous Unmanned Systems.  Ed, continues to support the Department of Defense and the Oil & Gas/Energy Industry.
