An Austin native, Rebecca received a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology with a minor in museum studies and a Master’s degree in library and information science from The University of Texas. Additionally, she studied anthropology and museum studies at Arizona State University at a graduate level, earning a certificate in museum studies.
Rebecca has worked in information and cultural heritage management for over 30 years with positions in libraries, archives, and museums. For the past 10 years, she has worked as a public library manager. Rebecca has experience developing cultural and educational programs and special events; managing grants; and cultivating relationships with community stakeholders.
She also brings to GTHS a love of German culture and a belief in the importance of celebrating cultural diversity.
