Anika Keswani joined the Board of Directors in 2024. She and her family moved to Austin in 2019 after living and working in Mainz, Germany, for 7 years. Her three young boys have been Samstagsschule students ever since, and her family are regulars at GTHS events - a favorite being the Christmas Market! Although Anika moved to Germany with no knowledge of the German language, she returned to the US as a fluent speaker who deeply values the importance of a multilingual, multicultural education. She is excited about the growth opportunity ahead for the GTHS, from expanding educational offerings to increasing the focus and variety of its cultural programs.
Anika holds an undergraduate degree in Business Honors and Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School. She is a licensed attorney in New York and Washington, DC, and currently leads Global Partner Strategy as a Director at Salesforce. Prior to serving on the GTHS Board, Anika served as the Treasurer and a Board Member for the Red Line Parkway Initiative for 3 years, where she partnered with the Downtown Austin Alliance on initiatives to create community gathering opportunities in downtown Austin.
In addition to her board memberships, Anika provides pro bono support to local and national nonprofit organizations focused on children's education and immigration, and volunteers frequently at her children's schools. Anika resides in north central Austin with her children and husband, who can often be found riding bikes together along the trails in the city.
