A wonderful program has been planned for this year’s Annual Meeting! On Friday, October 9, we will have four genealogy workshops from 1 to 5 pm. On Friday, at 7 pm, there will be a buffet (Abendbrot) with deli meats and cheeses from Granzin’s Meat Market, and breads and dessert from Naegelin’s Bakery (both in New Braunfels). From 8-10 pm that evening, we’ll have a “Meet the German-Texan Authors” session with 12 authors who will read from their books and do a book signing.
On Saturday, we have some interesting speakers talking about a multitude of topics. During the break after each session, we will be entertained by student groups, i.e., folk dancers, chorus, polka band, classical ensemble and maybe a skit and a puppet show. A catered lunch is included with Saturday’s convention registration.

Saturday night there’s an option to go Walburg for a German buffet dinner at the Walburg Restaurant, and either watch a German movie (with subtitles) in our banquet room there or participate in the restaurant’s Oktoberfest activities – live music and dancing in the Biergarten.
Registrants are encouraged to spend a night or two at our convention headquarters – the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel. The rooms and meeting facilities are exceptional, and the cost is reasonable for a 4-star facility. A free full breakfast is included.
