Winter 2010 Children’s German Classes – San Antonio
The German Saturday School of San Antonio offers fun and engaging language instruction for kids. These classes, designed for children ages 3-10, meet Saturday mornings in downtown San Antonio. Two 12-week sessions are offered, beginning in January (winter session) and September (fall session). Classes for older children will be offered in the future.
Our teaching staff consists of native and college-educated German speakers experienced in tutoring adults & children. Lessons focus on comprehension and speaking for all age groups. Instructors use art, music, and games as well as traditional learning methods. Older children gain skills reading and writing in German.
Samstagsschule classes are organized by the German-Texan Heritage Society (GTHS), a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the German heritage in Texas. Classes are held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 502 E. Nueva Street, San Antonio, TX 78205.
