Summer 2012 German Classes – Round Rock
The German-Texan Heritage Society offers German language classes for adults in Round Rock. The Summer adult class is 1.5 hours long and meets Mondays at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, 1600 Gattis School Rd, Round Rock, TX in the Arts & Crafts Room.
The cost of the 8-week summer semester of German I for adults is $70 for GTHS members and $80 for non-members. The registration deadline for the adult class is July 3rd. Class size is limited, so please register early. Any registrations received after the registration deadline will be subject to a $5 late fee per student. This class emphasizes vocabulary acquisition, simple conversation, and structure of the German language using traditional methods of instruction. The course covers most of the Ja Genau! Deutsch als Fremdsprache A1 Band 1 textbook published by the Cornelsen Verlag (Cornelsen Publishing). The cost of this class includes the use of materials and the audio cd from the Ja Genau! textbook in class. Copies for review and homework will be made available. No prerequisite, although this course is ideal for previous German I students who would like to review the material before joining the 12-week German II course starting in September.
