Fall 2010 German Classes – Round Rock
The German-Texan Heritage Society offers German language classes for adults in Round Rock. Children’s classes will be available in the future, so please check back or contact us at programs@germantexans.org. The fall adult class is 1.5 hours long and meets at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, 1600 Gattis School Rd, Round Rock, TX in the Arts & Crafts Room.
The cost of the 12-week fall semester of German I for adults is $70 for GTHS members and $80 for non-members. The class requires Taylor and Haas’ German: A Self Teaching Guide (available at GTHS for $20). The registration deadline for the adult class is September 15. Clay Madsen Recreation Center’s Arts & Crafts Room
This 12 week class emphasizes vocabulary acquisition, simple conversation, and structure of the German language using traditional methods of instruction. The course covers the first half of Taylor and Haas’ German: A Self Teaching Guide and is designed for beginning students as well as those who already know some German. The self-teaching guide is available from GTHS and costs $20.00. No prerequisite, although many find Beginning Conversational German helpful.
